Friends of DeKalb Public Library to Host Used Book Sale – Shaw Local

DeKALB – Friends of the DeKalb Public Library will be hosting a used book sale June 24-26 at the library.

The hours will be 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. The sale will take place in the Yusunas, Zimmerman and Bilder rooms of the DeKalb Public Library, 309 Oak St.

Each sale offers a new selection of quality used books, as well as DVDs, music and audiobook CDs. Most of the items were donated by members of the community and are in very good condition, even almost new. The sale will include fiction, children’s books, mysteries, science fiction, fantasy, history, biographies, memoirs, art, cookbooks, youth books adults, graphic novels, sportsbooks, crafts, gardening, foreign languages ​​and more.

Prices will be 25 cents for children’s books, 50 cents for mass market paperbacks, $1 for trade and large paperbacks, and $2 for hardcover books. A specially priced section will contain rare, vintage, signed and local books. Prices for CDs and DVDs will range from 50 cents to $3.

Bags will be provided for the explosive sale of $5 a bag and the media will be sold at half price on Sunday, June 26.

Proceeds will be donated to the library to support programs and the purchase of materials and books.

The Friends of DeKalb Public Library will follow the library’s mask policy and request, but not require, book sale patrons to wear masks.
