Gitlin covered everything we needed to know about the Boston Red Sox at a previous conference for the library, and follows with a loving ranking of the diverse world of TV sitcoms, including I Love Lucy, Mary Tyler Moore, All in the Family, Cheers, Andy Griffith, Seinfeld, The Big Bang Theory and others. It will include hilarious clips from familiar shows as well as a historical investigation into the beloved genre. He’ll describe how sitcoms have evolved over the decades and share trivia and other information about the biggest shows. He always engages the audience with interesting questions that test and expand knowledge.
