Northland Public Library events for the week of October 13, 2021


The Northland Public Library is located at 300 Cumberland Road in McCandless.

Masks should be worn at all times by everyone in the Child and Adolescent Services Department and for all indoor programs. A number of upcoming in-person and virtual programs are available – registration is required when indicated by visiting or calling 412-366-8100 x113.

Teen Maker Mondays

Kits available

Go make ! Tweens and teens ages 12-18 can choose a project to do at home. The library gives you supplies and instructions, and you create! Kits are available on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last. Get a kit at the Child and Adolescent Services counter.

Wise Walk – an 8 week walking program

Continues from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19 and 26

Meet every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at Pie Traynor Field to walk together and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Water will be provided weekly. No registration is required.

Terrifying tales by the fireside

7 p.m. on October 15 at Altmyer Barn in Altmyer Park

Have you ever felt the fear of staying in a haunted house? Are you convinced that you have had a close encounter with a ghost or a spirit? Whether it’s true or you’ve heard it from a friend of a friend, bring your spooky and spooky stories and join the Altmyer Barn Library in Altmyer Park. Fall preparation

As leaves and snow fall all around us, the UPMC Rehabilitation Centers want you not to fall with them! Join physiotherapists Dana Smithnosky and Tracy Spitz on how to stay safe during the fall and winter months. You will have the opportunity to meet two neurotherapists, as they will give you tips and ideas on how to make the most of the holiday season without limiting your activities. Registration is compulsory.

North Hills Genealogists
