The Loudonville Public Library is planning activities for September.

Story time to go: Every Tuesday a new story hour will be ready. Storytime to Go is a collection of books with songs and activity suggestions for creating your own storytime at home.
Sale of books on the sidewalk of the Friends of the Library: 10 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 3. Stop by our book sale while you enjoy the Labor Day festivities. Come early for the best selection.
The library is closed Monday, September 5 for Labor Day.
Cable Stitch Tuesdays: September 6 and 20, 10 to 11 a.m. All needlecrafters are welcome. We meet at the Café on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Bring your current project, enjoy some snacks and share with others. Want to learn to knit or crochet? We have teachers in the group.
Meeting of Friends of the Library: On Tuesday, September 6 at 2 p.m., Emily Rebmann will present Historic Buildings of Ohio. This meeting is open to everyone.
Tuesday noon craft: Tuesday, Sept. 6, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Want a spark of creativity? Kids and teens of all ages are invited to join us in making a bleeding tissue paper canvas. This new series of after-school crafts will take place on the lower level of the library. Children 7 and under will need the assistance of an adult or caregiver. Limit of 24.
Folk music with Andy & Judy: Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m. Come and enjoy this special presentation of folk music. Using a variety of classical folk instruments, Andy and Judy Daigle will put the fun back into folk music with their amazing harmony and audience participation.
Take & Makes for Kids – Tiny Art Exhibit: Monday, September 12 Show off your artistic talents in our Tiny Art Show! Receive a mini art kit and create your masterpiece. Once completed, return it to the library by September 30 to be part of the show. Your art will be on display the week of the fair. Take & Makes are first come, first served. You can also reserve a craft by calling the library on the day indicated for each activity. Limit one activity per person.
Pinterest Power – Bird and Book Pages: 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13 or 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14. Create a beautiful book page. Registration is compulsory, each session being limited to 12 adults. A sample will be exhibited in the library and posted on our Facebook page.
TAB meeting: 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13 at the café. The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is taking over and looking for members! Join us for an informational meeting to learn how you can influence the running of the library, especially for teen programming and selection of library materials. Any teenager is welcome. The snack will be offered!
Creative writing workshop: 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 19. Share your writing and try new writing techniques in an informal workshop setting. This program is for adults 18 years and older. Please bring your own writing device (paper and pens will be provided).
Discussion on books for adults: 11 a.m. on Friday, September 23. This month’s book is “The Fountains of Silence” by Ruta Sepetys. You can pick up a book and a discussion kit from the circulation desk one month before the date of the discussion. We will meet at the Golden Center. Come and share with other passionate readers. New members are always welcome.
